GOVERNMENT ORTHODONTICS vs PRIVATE ORTHODONTICS / Q&A that you might curious about orthodontics!😜 / my braces story🤓

26 August 2018

Hey pretties and handsome!
Welcome back and today I am going to share with you guys about some of my 'experiences' and 'advices' in choosing government orthodontics and private orthodontics.

Let's kick start of my post of

GOVERNMENT ORTHODONTICS vs PRIVATE ORTHODONTICS

GOVERNMENT ORTHODONTICS

if you are

✔️finding a cheaper treatment(which costs about RM700++ (pricing for the year of 2012)
✔️young girl or young boy who has a lot of time to wait for each of the orthodontics appointments
✔️willing to be put into their waiting list which takes you around two or three years to wait for your turn

then you can go for their treatment.🌛

PRIVATE ORTHODONTICS

if you are

✔️finding a faster and efficient service
✔️can afford their treatment which normally costs you 2.5k-5k and above (price may various based on different situation)
✔️prefer to set or choose your appointment time but not fixed by dentist
✔️not longer a teenager to wait for all the appointments like government treatment

Then you can go for it!!!😜

#UNWANTED STORY BEFORE I WENT FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT BUT I JUST WANT TO RECORD LOL

#CUT 1
Since the teeth changing stage of six years old,my teeth became...
Super overbite.
That time still young (12 years old)to know what is pretty.
So,advised already by nurses in the schools who came for checking teeth to go for orthodontics,I just listened and then just let it go like what Elsa taught us ya,LOL.

#CUT 2
During teeth check up in my secondary school(that time 16 years old)
a nurse approached me and recommended to go for orthodontist.
(thought she can't bear with my teeth xD)
That time start knowing what pretty defines and how important of having nice teeth so I did visit the government dentist and so the first step of my braces story started.

#LONG LONG LIST OF GOVERNMENT ORTHODONTICS APPOINTMENTS

After the first appointment,
They called you to come with another appointment again and again to check your teeth, clean your teeth, write letter....
Each appointment took me around 1-3 months to wait.
(Actually all can done in a day time and I really don't understand why they want you to wait like a cow😂)

Therefore,
the clinic's appointments took me around HALF YEAR to just reach the actual orthodontist in Ipoh government hospital.

#THOUGHT THAT CAN START PUTTING BRACES!?TOO EARLY GUYS XD

The appointments did not end up so fast.
After reaching the appointment in the orthodontic specialist,
I still have a bunch of appointments to go😂

to check the arrangement of my teeth
to go for x-ray
to make the mould of your teeth
to wait for the mould
to sign the agreement letter
Each single simple step have to go for just one-time appointment.
So,another half year gone by just all the appointment and.

I am a lucky girl I always say.

I supposed to be put in their waiting list as still have a lot of person have to go but.

But.

Because of my age (that year i was 17 and they said I am late to put on braces)and the amazing(😂)situation of my teeth,
The dentist allowed me to start to put on braces immediately without inserting me into the waiting list and I am so excited with that.

But.haiz.
Just merely reach the last step to put on braces
The mission was failed as my parents don't allowed due to the extraction.

Orthodontics must undergo teeth extraction to let the teeth go in unless, there is some space between your teeth.

I was so lack of knowledge that time.🙄
..
...
....
So the good chance given by them flew but that bring me to a better one😈

IF YOU THINK THAT YOU WANT A FASTER AND BETTER SERVICE AND YOU CAN AFFORD THE COSTS THEN GO FOR PRIVATE DENTIST

The private one is extremely efficient as just within one month time I can start to be a braces girl.

The dentist can clear all the procedures before putting braces within one month time which included consultation,x-ray,filling,scaling,extraction.

Really ya.
Nothing much.
Private dentist is so efficient and professional
And what is important is you no need wait for the bunch of appointments!!!

#FEEL LIKE WANT TO PUT ON BRACES BUT SCARE AND HERE ARE SOME Q&A THAT YOU MIGHT CURIOUS😉

↳pain or not?

Erm,can't say that it's pain but you just can feel the pressure.

Scaling is abit painful XD

Extraction no feeling but after that you will feel abit weird because there is some holes between your teeth and you have to take some time to use to it as the rice like to go in that hole and that is normal.

For me,in the earlier stage(first six months),
you just have to feel the pressure for only one or two days then after that  you can eat like normal,,not pain at all, trust me xD

But like come to the second stage-the next six months(my assumption lol),
you will take around 5/6 days to overcome the pressure of pulling your teeth inside,
and you can start feeling that your teeth can't bite the hard food like meat or vegetables,
you have to cut all of them into smaller pieces or else if you are lazy,
just eat porridge!xD
But trust me,
you just have to suffer for 5/6 days then your teeth will back to normal and eat what you want to eat (actually have to avoid hard food but I just ignored😜😜😜)

↳how you brush your teeth!?

(This is the question that my students like to ask!!!)

Just use tooth brush as usual nothing special xD

↳How long time does the orthodontics take?

Mine is one and a half year, the fastest one(but it might take longer time as maybe sometimes I delay the appointment)😂

And normally the treatment will take two years time++.

↳How to pay??

You need to pay the amount of your deposit first and then the rest will be divided for each time you visit doctor and if you scare that you can't afford you can discuss with the nurses there.

🌸🌸🌸
So girls,if you plan to do that just go for it.
Be brave to achieve what you want.
You are the only one who push you to become what you want to be but not others😘

Lastly, hope that you find this article useful💪😘💓
